I don't really understand the 1 star reviews. I went here because my boss recommended it. The office is clean, professional looking. Staff was very professional and took the time to explain everything thoroughly. Roxcy, one of the techs, went above and beyond and pulled some strings to order a set of lenses for me that the supplier no longer made. Overall I would recommend this place to anyone. Edit- Yet another reason I love this place. I bought my glasses last week and was told they would be ready in about 2 weeks which is about average for most places. I called them today curious if my glasses were ready yet (they quoted a few weeks so I wasn't hopeful). I mentioned I was only checking because this would be my last day working in Charlottesville so I was hoping to be able to pick them up today and not have to make a separate trip just to pick up the glasses (a 1 hour drive for me). From the time I walk in the door until I leave I am treated like family. I and my family have been patients there for several years. They are so professional but fun and friendly. I will never go anywhere else. They are the BEST!!‎

My history with Primary Eye Care goes back about 4 years and...all of my experiences there have been excellent. The staff is knowledgeable, professional, friendly and, efficient. In addition, my wife had her initial Primary Eye Care visit last month and was very pleased with the service received and, especially, the honest and ethical evaluation she was given...her exam revealed that she DID NOT need corrective prescription lenses and that OTC magnifiers would serve her well at present and, unless she noticed a major vision change in the interim, an annual follow-up would be fine. In other words, she wasn't told she needed something that she really didn't...refreshing straight-forwardness in today's "make a sale at all costs" market place...Thank you Primary Eye Care for earning our trust.‎

I have been going to Primary Eyecare for close to 20 years, I think. With some vision problems in my family history, I didn't want to take any chances with my own, so I started soon after college. I like how knowledgeable and friendly the doctors and office staff are, how thorough the eye exam is (I feel that nothing is missed, which is a great comfort), and now with the Forest Lakes location, eye exams are more convenient than ever. Sure, even with insurance I feel like I fork over a mortgage payment when I have to get new glasses (computer, driving, sunglasses), but every two or four years of that amortizes out to fairly painless levels, and I'm worth it! -- Louise L.‎

The folks at Primary Eyecare are the best. They have a great team of doctors that genuinely care for their patients (my wife has a very difficult prescription and they got it exactly correct), and also a great staff that are experts in all aspects of creating the perfect glasses. They provide guidance on the right frame selection, and ensure that everything is correct and fitted properly before my visit is completed. I would recommend them without hesitation.‎
